Tobe Hooper's horror classic that presaged the "splatter" genre was based, like "Psycho," on real-life murderer Ed Gein. A group of teens is attacked by a family of psychotic degenerates with a power tool fetish and a unique barbeque recipe. Who will survive, and what will be left of them? With Marilyn Burns, Edwin Neal, and Gunnar Hansen Leatherface; opening narration by John Larroquette.
