PLOT
Dead of Night follows AK and Status, two inter-dimensional security guards employed by the mysterious Viktor Corporation. Operating out of Spokane, Washington, the duo investigates supernatural phenomena and battles otherworldly threats using makeshift equipment and improvised tactics.
The series is renowned for its innovative DIY aesthetic, transforming ordinary household items into convincing monsters and alien creatures. Dinosaur heads become inter-dimensional beasts, dryer hoses are repurposed as alien appendages, and abandoned industrial locations serve as gateways to other dimensions.
Each episode presents a new supernatural challenge, from serpentine Basilisksterrorizing abandoned factories to golden spheres invading from alternate realities. The show's unique blend of horror, science fiction, and dark comedy, combined with its guerrilla filmmaking approach, created a distinctive entry in the shot-on-video genre.
